The United States Postal Service (USPS) strongly recommends that you don’t put checks in the mailbox.

  • Remove mail from your mailbox promptly every day
  • Deliver outgoing mail directly to the post office (inside) or hand it directly to your letter carrier
  • Sign up for Informed Delivery  to preview your incoming mail
  • Join your neighborhood watch and local social media groups to spread awareness
  • Promptly report any suspicious activity or theft
