Data breaches are making headlines once again, and in recent years they have become much more commonplace. Safeguarding our customers is of the utmost importance to us, and our top priority. We are proud to share that Embassy Bank utilizes state-of-the-art technology to assist us with protecting your personal and sensitive information. Our networks and systems are closely monitored and managed vigorously to provide you with confidence and peace of mind that your accounts are safe.

In addition to the powerful systems used behind the scenes, we have a robust Security Center on our website. Here you will find information about fraud protection tools we provide for customers, information on schemes and scams to be aware of, tips for traveling safely, and other online protection related topics.

Embassy Bank will never call you, text you, or send an email asking you to provide or verify your usernames, passwords, card numbers, PIN numbers, account numbers or personal information. We may ask you to reply to a text message to authenticate a specific suspicious transaction, but we will NEVER ask you to click on a link, or to submit any personal credentials or bank account information.

You are your best line of defense. Some best practices are:

  • Enroll in online banking and monitor your account activity daily.
  • Utilize Embassy’s fraud protection tools – Card Safe and Text Alerts.
  • Stay vigilant when it comes to the latest scams making headlines.
  • Never click links or call phone numbers appearing in unsolicited emails or texts as this is how cyber criminals can takeover your computer and access your personal information.
  • Never share your account numbers or digital banking credentials.
  • Create strong complex passwords and change them regularly.
  • Keep your devices updated with the latest security updates.
  • Consider placing a credit freeze at the credit bureaus and subscribing to a monitoring service.
