Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots like ChatGPT, Bing and Jasper are being used by more and more people. Whether you are unlocking your phone through face recognition, asking Alexa to play a song, or using smart home devices, artificial intelligence has increased in use and popularity in our daily lives. Unfortunately, AI has also become a popular tool for cybercriminals too.

For example, through social media advertising cybercriminals have created fake ads for free AI downloads. The downloaded file contains malware that can obtain your personal, financial, and sensitive information. To avoid downloading malware to your device only download files from trusted sources and official sites. Hovering your mouse cursor over the fake advertisement will allow you to view the destination link. Be sure the link is a match to the actual ad content. As always, “think before you click”.
